    • Vered says:

Hi Bill – so happy to hear you enjoy them! I too am an Engineer (Civil) with a Masters in Environmental Management, but I figure it’s more fun to read about African ghosts than construction stories!!! I’m working on book 5. Let me know when you post the reviews – I give out a short story per review.

      Cheers!

  13. sandra Mcgee says:

I just read your ebook “Ghost Tsavo” , I loved it especially the characters, I read it in one setting . However I was less that happy about how the ebook story ended. I could n’t wait to find out what happen, and there was no closure. It was kind of like stepping in a hole you were not expecting. But all in all it was a great story. I gave you five 5 stars anyway, because your book was great and kept me interested to the very end.
    Sandra McGee

    • Vered says:

Hi Sandra – sorry about the unexpected ‘hole’ you fell into!!! The next book fills in the hole and from what readers tell me, the series gets better and better. I hope you get a chance to read The Automaton’s Wife.

As a ‘thank you’ for posting a review, I’ve emailed you a short story about Gideon Knight. I’d originally written a series of shorts for myself, just to understand the backstories of the characters, but later decided to give them to people who post a review.

      Happy new year!

      Vered

  14. Nuren Alahee says:

I read your book “Ghosts of Tsavo” and trust me, that was one hell of a story. It was so good! But I would’ve preferred if had added a few more stuff about the automaton and how Gideon made it work. But the book was good as it was. I pity myself as I won’t be able to read the other books for I cannot buy them for you have written such a good story! I hope you continue writing. Good luck 😃

P.S. You inspire me to write my own books. I hope to become a writer like you some day.

    • Vered says:

Hi Nuren – so happy you enjoyed Ghosts of Tsavo. Let me know why you can’t buy the other books – maybe I can help? What kind of books would you like to write?

      • Nuren Alahee says:

I can’t cause I do not have any way to pay for them. I would like to write horror stories like you. You write nice books.

  15. Fah Snidwongse says:

Most Entertaining! Keep me coming back for more!

  16. cheri jenkins says:

    I love this series

  17. Sandra McGee says:

Love your books, Ms Knight just makes them pop.

  18. Paul Bloodworth says:

And just when, dear Lady, is the next adventure of our redoutable heroine, following on from the minor trouble with the Nandi? I have an old colleage related to a Gentleman who was known in Kenya as “the butcher of the Nandi”. Probably not an awfully nice fellow!

  19. Paul Bloodworth says:

    Colleague! My apologies.

  20. Jodi Sweet says:

I just left reviews for all 6 of your books. When is 7 coming out? I’m so hooked on these books!!!!

  21. Karen says:

I am a voracious reader and have been since my mother taught me to read at 4. At 13 I was finally allowed access to the upstairs “grown-up” library simply because I had literally read everything the downstairs floor had. I have been at a loss for a couple of years since I finished the Amelia Peabody series. You have saved me. At least temporarily…. I love Beatrice and Nelly! I have finished all 6 in a couple of weeks (it took me that long as I must work to support my habit 😝) and amlooking forward to reading number 7. Thank you, Asante!!!!

    • Vered says:

Thanks Karen! So glad you enjoyed the series. I too was a book worm as a kid and read anything and everything. I’ve heard of the Peabody series but haven’t yet read them.

      Cheers

  22. Kerry says:

Asante, this series is truly delightful! I agree with Karen, haven’t been this hooked on a series since Amelia Peabody. Have read all 6 in the last couple of weeks & can’t wait till 7! The series is unique and the characters come alive. Keep up the good work. Am going to Amazon now to post a review!

    • Vered says:

Thanks Kerry for the enthusiastic comment! Let me know when your review is up, and I’ll send you free short stories about the backstory of some of the characters.

      Cheers

      Vered

  23. Frances says:

Enjoying the series can’t wait to read book 7

  24. Kerry says:

    Hi Asante!

Amazon review is up under Jazzen. Can’t wait for 7!

  25. Nancy Moore says:

I just finished A Spider Comes Calling & am looking forward to the one about Nairobi. I’ve been thoroughly enjoying all the books in the series. You had me hooked with the Ghost of Stack. I especially like having strong minded Victorian women & watching Lilly evolve. Am eagerly anticipating Grace’s debut. Does she cone out talking & flying, etc. Fun reads.

  26. Tiina Peltola says:

I have read all the books so far. I’m totally in love with the series. Just wondering if the book titled “Stones of Nairobi” is out or will be soon?
You have peeked my curiosity in what the baby will be, what Beatrice decides to do, and most I portably what is to happen between Drew and Villa?
Keep up the humor, suspense, and twists and turns.😉

    • Vered says:

Hi Tiina – I’ve finished the first draft of book 7 (Stones of Nairobi). It’s going through the editing process. I plan to publish it early in 2017.

I’m so honored you’re enjoying the series! Book 7 will answer a lot of your questions. I hope you’ve subscribed to my list, so you get all the info on dates and special prices!

      Cheers

      Vered

  27. Michael says:

I am currently reading the sixth novel in the series and believe I have finally found the binding agent that holds all of the books together. Indeed, it is the glue as well as the universal solvent that makes all goodness good and destroys the problematic icky creatures that oftentimes beset us. What is the secret amalgam? This elixir of life? It is of course, TEA!

I am totally enamored with your tea drinking warrior of the supernatural and defender of the odd, the peculiar and the bizarre.

Thank you for reaffirming what is good in life! I’ll drink to that (slurp).

    Cheers,
    Michael
